A day in the life of a parent

I watch their softly tousled heads slumbering on their pillows, and sadness wells up in me. Have I drunk in their smiles and laughter and hugged them, or have I just checked things off my to-do list today? They're growing so quickly. One morning I may wake up and one of my girls will be getting married, and I'll worry: Have I played with them enough? Have I enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of their lives?" - Janet Fackrell.

The hardest day in every parent's life is to watch their little child slowly plod towards preschool and step into a whole new world. The question in every parent's mind is: Will it be worth it? Will my child be comfortable? Every parent waits anxiously outside preschool on the first day, hoping their child steps out smiling from ear to ear. Every parent has to face this day. But the parents need not fret, adventure awaits behind those gates of the preschool.

Kids not only learn to draw, paint, learn alphabets and numbers; they learn to work in teams. Children learn to trust their teachers. At preschool, a child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills are strengthened. At preschool your child may find his/her best friend!

By enrolling little toddlers at OESIS; parents are not only allowing their children to play and learn..parents are ensuring that their children are growing.

Are all the kids ready for some fun this summer?

Summer brings with it warmth and holidays. Summer maybe a time to relax; but what about the kids who are jumping off the walls shrieking, “I’m bored”. How do parents keep their children entertained and active? The trick is to plan ahead. Children can be involved in deciding on the list of activities they would enjoy engaging in during their summer breaks so they do not end up sitting glued to the television or playing computer games.
Here is a list of activities that could be added to the bucket list of summer activities that could interest kids and keep them active and agile this summer.

1.  Let’s Bake: Everyone loves freshly baked, warm and crispy cookies. This summer mothers and fathers can encourage their kids to bake some cookies or different flavored cakes and cupcakes. This is a fun way to bond for the parents and kids. Your kids could grow up to become connectionists!

2.  Dress Up party: Slumber parties are a few memories children can cherish with their friends. Parents can take the initiative to invite their kid’s friends for a themed party; for example the kids could be invited for a Pokemon themed party or a Frozen movie themed party.

3.  Let’s get closer to nature: The world would be a lot better if it were greener. Parents with their kids could take a trekking trip where there is a lot of greenery. This could be a great opportunity for the children to learn and understand the value of preserving nature.

4.  Time to build sandcastles: Summer calls for fun at the beach. Building sandcastles and playing in cool waters is all time favorite activity of kids. Parents too could enjoy a refreshing stroll at the beach while the kids play in the sand and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

So parents and kids get ready for an entertaining summer. Lather up some sunblock, pull out your shades and live it up this summer with some exciting activities.
